I ran out of thread last night, so tonight my daughter and I ran up to Michael’s. I also got the yarn that I med to do the homework for theatre Aran crochet class I’m taking at the conference next month.
We also had some fun and walked around the store together with our clown noses on.

I’m still trucking along. Still having to do quite a bit of frogging and reworking to get it how I really want it. I’m hoping that once I get all the way around with the cotton, the silk should go much faster..

Not surprisingly, I did have to frog and rework again today. I believe I’ve got it all counted up right now and the rest should hopefully work up pretty fast. I hope. The rest should just be across and then decreases.

Basically I’ve got the cotton rows about halfway done. My counting seems to be slightly off with what I wanted to do though so I’m hoping I won’t have to redo some of this tomorrow.

So the neckline is frogged now. Scary huh? I’ve got the rework written up, but looking at it, I might do just a little bit of adjustment before starting in.

I got the surface crocheting and the shoulder straps removed from the neckline night. I’ve got some notes started on the rework, but the real documentation for the rework pattern starts next!
Prep work and planning always take longer than you want it to. I want to get in there and start crocheting!

Here we are again. Let’s see if I can keep up this year!
I have a lot to work on this month. But to start out, here is an infinity scarf that I just finished tonight. It’s a simple v-stitch, but instead of each row being worked in the chain-2 of the v-stitches of the previous row, they are worked in the top of the first double crochet of each v-stitch. I really like the effect and may need to do a Prayer Shawl or something else in this eventually.
At the end of July I will be going to my first Chain Link Conference with the Crochet Guild of America, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ll be doing some rework on a previous project to enter into the design competition and I’ll need to mail the entry before the end of this month, so I will be doing some serious hustling with some late nights over the next few weeks.

LAST June, I was working on Christmas stockings for my family during 30 Days of Blog. I just finished the last one the other day!
Yesterday I finished the body of a Baby afghan that will be donated to Project Linus because they are in desperate need of blankets for hospitals right now. Over the next few days I will be putting an edging on it.
Once this afghan is done, I have an order for a newborn mermaid tail cocoon to complete.
Then I will be starting work on a Christmas tree skirt to go with my family’s stockings. Here’s hoping that I can get all of that done this month!

I’m finally getting back to being able to crochet a little bit after #3 was born. I’ve got several things to post, including the afghan I designed for him.
Right now I’m working on some end-of-the-school-year teacher’s gifts for my daughter’s preschool teacher. I had a kit from Annie’s Attic for this felted bag and thought I would use it for one of the gifts. I’ve never done any felting before, aside from making my wool dryer balls.
Unfortunately, when I got this felted, I fell in love with it and I don’t think I can give it away. I think I’ll be using it as a bag to carry small crochet projects in. It’s not often that fail in giving away something I have crocheted.
